The Paranormalist: The Darkest Days of Andrew Collins – 1980

In 1980, things looked bleak for Andrew Collins and the Parasearch group.

Having left Wolverhampton following the end of Strange Phenomena, Andrew found himself at one of the lowest points of his journey. It was during this time that he wrote what was probably the shortest diary entry he ever recorded.

Just a few words… capturing a moment when the future seemed uncertain.

But what Andrew didn’t know was that, within just a few short months, everything would change.

New discoveries. New investigations. A new chapter would begin…

Before Biddulph Grange. Before the Nine Lights Quest. Before the investigations that would define the next chapter of his life.

Andrew had returned to his native Essex in search of work and some sense of direction. The world of paranormal and UFO research, once such a driving force in his life, had been pushed into the background. Survival came first, and the immediate need to support himself left little room for thoughts of unexplained phenomena or future investigations.

Yet sometimes the most significant turning points begin in the quietest moments. Unbeknownst to Andy, this period of uncertainty was only a pause before events would draw him back towards the mysteries he had never truly left behind.
